I just went to using live plants in the new aquarium I bought for my 13" pleco. Didn't seem to matter where I put the plants, Goliath would swim around at night and the next morning all the plants would be floating at the top of the tank. I tried placing rocks around the plants, moving them to the edges, grouping them all in one spot. Didn't matter. Then I came across this gem. I bought two of them, and removed the bottom piece so the plants could root. I put the plants into the planting cup and then weighted them down with some rocks. So far, so good. He still knocks a few of them loose every now and then, but most of them are still intact after several weeks.
